Eleuthera is open for business! Stores are well stocked and restaurants are open (although they have to close at 10). Tours and excursions are operating. The Bahamas has managed COVID well. They have been recording fewer than 10 new cases a day on average.
All visitors to the Bahamas must have a negative PCR COVID test no more than 5 days old. You upload the results of your COVID test to a Bahamas website and receive a “health visa”. Then 5 days after you arrive on the island, you have to take a rapid test. You can do that multiple clinics on the island for free, or have a nurse come to your house or condo and administer the test for a fee.
